Hi. My name is Don. I first created this website back in 2012? because of my desire to share useful info, links, and resources with fellow teachers and EFL students.
Like a lot of EFL teachers, I got into the profession to have experiences in foreign lands and cultures that I was interested in. It turned into a career that has taken me to Korea, Japan, Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam. I've taught all types of English to all sorts of students, but have particular expertise in adult learners and ESP (English for Specific Purposes).
From 2018 to 2025, I was lucky to have been an English Language Fellow for the U.S. Department of State's Education Programs in Indonesia and Vietnam. And, to have taught at both U.S. military Defense Language Institutes: the English Language Center in San Antonio (DLIELC) and the Foreign Language Center (DLIFLC) in Monterey, California.
Currently, I am teaching in Hanoi, Vietnam.
